My Pip

So we finally got rain here in Seattle. I was ready for it. Unlike most people, I actually like the rain. Until I remember that my Pip feels the need to let me know when it's raining. Especially at night. At night she likes to go out, get all wet then come in and jump on me so I will dry her off. Then of course, since she's dry, she can go out again! Lucky me! My own little weather cat.

On one of the buses I've been taking there's a man that sits in the back of the bus. I'm not sure which one it is exactly. I've always been kind of afraid to look. But if we stop at a red light, I hear his voice saying "Green light green light green light" until the light finally turns green.

Take a moment to think of the nearest major grocery store to your house. Safeway, QFC, Freddy's, Trader Joe's. Usually it's a few minutes away. Now picture the city of Detroit MI. There's a story on CNN that I saw today that in the entire city of Detroit there is not a single major grocery store. They have some corner markets. But just think of not having a single major grocery store in a city the size of Detroit. The article I saw showed armed guards guarding the delivery trucks that were bringing in supplies. This is in our own country. I find that really hard to believe.
