A little good news

I read a story today about Ludacris. He is donating 20 used cars to needy families in Atlanta, where he's from. For some reason I needed to hear some good news today, news about someone giving back, helping others. Sometimes I feel bombarded by stories of wars, global warming, kidnappings, domestic violence, drugs. I know that there are people out there quietly trying to make a difference in a positive way, reaching out to those less fortunate. I just wish that those people made the news more often. I'm sure most everyone has heard of the butterfly effect. If a butterfly can make a difference halfway around the world, how much difference can I make right here? How can I create my own butterfly effect?

My Pip is still finding new ways to make me smile. She has a thing for my couch cushions. She thinks that they are great to hide behind and pounce on toys that are trying to escape her. But the last couple of days, she actually got underneath the cushion that is on the floor, then started to chase things. So I'll be sitting on the couch and all of a sudden I'll see the cushion start moving across the floor. Or around in circles. Usually I can't see the Pipster because she's under the cushion, so it's pretty comical. She's so silly, that Pipster!
