My day off

I would never say that my Baby Bug is spoiled. But I do have to admit to making a special trip to get Baby Bug some fresh wheat grass. And I was late this morning because as I was trying to get ready to leave for an appointment, some cutie with orange & white fur thought it necessary to try to get on me every time I sat down so she could get snuggles. I also received an email from Baby Bug's Uncle Dave saying he would be in my neighborhood on an "emergency humanitarian mission". He and Bug's Auntie Teri are her paper suppliers. Bug loves her paper and it was like a kitty Christmas today due to a new supply of paper that was dropped at our door. Thanks Uncle Dave and Auntie Teri! Since I was unavoidably detained this morning, I missed the bus I wanted to catch. So I caught the next one. We were traveling down Bothell Way when we come to a stop in an area that there's no intersection or lights. I look out my window, and see a Bothell police car in the other lanes, and he had traffic stopped. So I'm reaching for my phone, thinking there was an accident, and that I would be even later than I originally thought. Then I notice people on the bus aren't upset, or grumbling. Some are even smiling and pointing. So I look again. We weren't stopped for an accident. The cop and 2 women were escorting a mama duck and her 6-8 adorable ducklings across the busy street. We were stopped for about a minute, then back on our way again with everyone seeming to be just a little bit happier. I'm home now, the sun is out, and I have a very loved, very tuckered out kitty snoozing on my lap. It was a very good day off!
