9/11

It's still hard to believe that it happened eight years ago. I saw where Charlie Sheen is saying that he believes that the US government is responsible for the attacks. I didn't see why he thought that though.

As far as Obama's speech to the kids, I still haven't read it, but one of my readers did point out that the hoopla isn't about the speech itself, but the lesson plans that accompanied the speech.

For the next 3 weeks, I'll be watching a friend's dog. There are several reasons why I am not a dog person, and most of those reasons are the same reasons why I never wanted kids. I much prefer kitties and their independence. And yes, my Pip is too independent!! And she walks herself, thank you very much!

FOOTBALL!!!! My Steelers barely beat the Titans, but they did get the win. Of course, my picks for the Super Bowl are Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. I realized that there is still much bitterness and resentment toward my beloved Steelers here in Seahawk country. At work we had a NFL day where people were encouraged to wear their team colors. All teams were welcomed except the Steelers. The powers that be made a special note to let us know that Steeler garb would not be acceptable work attire. And some of the employees are still quite hostile about the Super Bowl loss. Nothing like carrying a grudge! Sheesh!

Go Steelers and Bucs! Beat the Eagles and Viking! And if the Seahawks lose, it won't break my heart any!
