Some Petsmart stores offer doggy daycare. So let's say that you are a Petsmart employee, and you own a dog. Let's say that your manager asks you to work a double shift (one of them an overnight shift) to get the store set up for a special promotion. So, being a responsible dog owner and not wanting to leave your dog unattended, you bring your dog to work. At a Petsmart, where they ask their customers to bring in their dogs. So while you're working, you put your dog in the doggy daycare center. Would you be a little surprised if you were fired two weeks later for "theft of service"? That's what happened to the Petsmart employee. After much local publicity, Petsmart did offer the employee his job back But he got another job as a dog trainer. It does make me wonder about how animal/employee friendly Petsmart is.
Just in case anyone was wondering, hunting season is open. Pip has brought me my first gift of the new year. I think I need to communicate my want list to her just a little bit better.
