Someone came up with the idea of "a pint for a pint" to get people to donate blood. Donate a pint of blood and get a coupon for a pint of beer. Since I don't like beer , this wouldn't motivate me. But whatever works. I heard that 37% of the population is eligible to donate blood, but only 5% do. So, please think about donating. Blood is a renewable resource and something that is always needed by someone somewhere.
A family back in Boston listed their cat as a family member on the Census questionnaire. Now the cat has been called for jury duty. Pip is definitely a member of my family, but I don't know that I would list her on the Census.
She's been staying in more lately. I'm trying to convince myself that it's due to the weather and NOT because she's getting older. But in any case, I'll the rain over the snow any day. I'm glad that so far we're not getting slammed like the East and Midwest.
The Simpsons has been on TV for 20 years. Yes, that's makes feel old. Also remembering a time before cell phones, vcrs, cable, computers, ipods, and when there used to be leaded gas makes me feel old too. But then I watch Pip chase her tail and I feel a little younger anyway.
