Very glad

I for one, am very glad that I am not a kid growing up in these politically correct times. I just read that an elementary school class were invited to see a live production of "A Charlie Brown Christmas". But, as usual in today's society, someone complained and called the outing "a violation of religous freedom". So of course, the outing was cancelled. In Davis, CA a junior high was not allowed to perform Dickens' "A christmas Carol" because the title contained the word Christmas. And in Fort Worth, Santa was allowed to visit schools, but couldn't go into any classrooms, because his visit was "endorsing religous activty". Really? Santa? Since when did Santa become a religous figure? I would be willing to bet that these people who are so quick to complain about "Christmas break" or the people saying Merry Christmas have no trouble taking Christmas day off with pay, or getting paid extra to work on Christmas. They don't seem to be offended by that. I don't mind if people celebrate in different ways. I wouldn't ask them to change the way they celebrate. Why do they feel they have the right to change the way I do? So I am now going to watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" since that's the way I'm feeling right now! MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!!
