Way too hot!

We set a record for heat here in the Seattle area. 103 today. For me, anything above 75 is too hot!! Since we live in Seattle and usually have no need of air conditioning, our city buses don't even have air conditioning. On one bus today, the driver asked each passenger as they got on it they wanted to get squirted with some water. No one refused. Then we made an unscheduled stop. Turns out the driver had spotted some sprinklers that were active and she pulled the bus to the side of the road, got off the bus and was running thru the sprinklers. No one even complained. When I left for work this morning, I noticed that outside felt about 15-20 degrees cooler than inside my apartment, so I called my girl Pip and she came outside and immediately she perked up and decided it was cool enough for her to go play. At least for a little while. At work we don't have air conditioning and then to make matters worse, our ice machine gave up! If your animals spend time outdoors, please make sure they have access to plenty of shade and fresh water!
